INDEPENDENCE CEMETERY

Independence Cemetery has the proud heritage and charm of a country cemetery, with the burials of several generations of hardworking families.

The 65-acre Independence Cemetery was incorporated into a nonprofit organization in 1886. On January 1, 1988, the cemetery management and operation became a division of non-profit Highland Cemetery, Inc., in Fort Mitchell. The spring of 1996, Independence Cemetery bought the adjacent 64-acre farmland, doubling the cemetery's acreage.

Independence Cemetery is located on Madison Pike, which divides our cemetery into two sections. A simple white fence brings unity and warmth to our property.

We do not employ a commissioned sales force to phone, mail or door-to-door sell, allowing you to choose your burial needs without being pressured during such a personal decision making time.

We are very proud of the improvements that we have been able to make since January 1988.

We have available no interest payment plan for those wishing to purchase graves. Our main office is at:

Highland Cemetery

2167 Dixie Highway

Fort Mitchell, Kentucky 41017-2998

Our office hours are 8am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday, and 9am to Noon on Saturday.

A representative from the Cemetery is available to meet you by appointment anytime. Please call our office at 859-331-3220.
